I don't know anyone who knows anything about Lolita fashion who considers La Failmina an expert on the fashion. It figures that her bento book is more of the same.

There are actually quite a few more sorry looking photos, but I felt posting any more would be too bitchy. =\ I wasn't aware that her own community doesn't respect her.

La Failmina, La Sardina.. Here are two excerpts about her and why we hate her.

1.) "Everyone's favorite "gothic lolita" retard, La Carmina, used a photo of me on her blog from when she went to the LA Goth club, Ruin. What's funny is that she wasn't even in this country when that picture was taken. She doesn't give credit to the photographer, and she just talks about the gothic lolitas twirling around with their heart purses. Like you would know, you weren't even THERE."

This one is long, but t

2.) "So, a certain "Gothic Lolita expertz" blogger went to Tokyopop's fashion show at New York Comic Con, jumped on stage in the middle of a well known egl member's runway walk, and starts hogging all the attention.

Just want to let you guys know since I got a bunch of phone calls and texts about this and it was really annoying me. I know someone that got video of the whole fiasco plus pictures :)

More details when the actual attendees have something to say.
ANNNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDD we have them.

EDIT: What she has to say about all of this
"So I was at the NY Comic-Con Lolita fashion show, gazing placidly at the mincing pink doilies, when suddenly this Gothic freak LEAPS onstage (in purple-black lipstick and spiky boots and a Victorian mourning gown) and starts STORMING away like a beast in heat. Everyone wakes up and grabs a camera - ohhh yes! Now THIS is style with a major attitude. But wait, but is it part of the show? Apparently not, because Security GRABS her by the elbow and drags her offstage. Mischief written all over her face, she slips away and prances across the front row, followed by a swarm of teenagers in superhero costumes who gush: "OMG that was SO awesome! You're our hero! Can I have a hug? Me too? An autograph, and can we take a picture together?"

All right. I'm not going to pull an OJ Simpson on you. I did it, and if you ask 99% of the audience, it was the highlight of the show. The rest want my scalp. But just wait until you see the VIDEO - yes, my friend Dakota recorded the whole thing - and I bet you'll end up laughing too."

This is a report from a model about the incident:
MODEL HERE. Carmen jumped onstage ... and started posing. IMMEDIATELY a staff member grabbed her bumrush-style and shoved her offstage post-haste. Carmen, who had the nerve to be hanging around the entrance to backstage, was actually offering to give out autographs to people! Unfortunately, she probably did it because she knew the NY Times and Cosmo!Girl would be there, and being an irritating fuck is always a guaranteed way to get attention.

For the record, my dears, from now until forever, if someone who doesn't know who Carmen is asks about what happened, do NOT drop her name. She wants that. Instead, say that "some random tranny" jumped onstage, and NEVER let on that it was anything but a random tranny. Understood?

-----------------

So yes. The lolita community despises her for several reasons. I didn't even go in to the fact that her "lolita" fashions aren't good at all--low quality and poor design and only things 'ita' lolitas (the badly dressed ones) seem to go after, all the while claiming them to be unique, lolita, and great items.

LOL la failmina.

Please do the Lolita community a favor and add "self-proclaimed" in front of "Lolita fashionista". Don't drag the rest of us down with her fail.

I was pretty shocked to hear that the book includes a near-duplicate version of one of Maki's (JustBento.com) recipes... Boo.
