Hey gang, some of you said some very nice things about my peanut butter faces, so today I am sharing my recipe for peanut butter balls that not only taste wonderful, but are very healthy AND can be molded into creative shapes. I got the original recipe from a kids' cookbook and modified it slightly. It's always a crowd pleaser just as ball shapes, but it works nicely for bento too.
Peanut Butter Balls
1 cup smooth peanut butter
2/3 cup dry milk powder (like Carnation)
4 tablespoons honey
4 tablespoons finely crushed cereal of your choice (I like Special K)
Mix all ingredients and store in the fridge. Shape as desired, and decorate with cocoa powder, candies, or whatever your creative heart desires. :-) Makes about 10 to 12 balls.
If the blob seems too dry, add a bit more honey. If it seems too wet, add a bit more cereal. This is a great way to use up the "dust" at the end of a cereal bag.
Enjoy, and let me know what you think..
