Emma's Bento

bento kitty

My neighbor's 3 year old daughter has a beautiful & tiny set of handmade foods that make up her toy bento. She was sweet enough to lend it to me so I could take these pictures to post here. As I thought you might all find it as adorable as I did.

There are ongiris and an assortment of fruits and veggies like this lovely little strawberry...

Those are so cute! I think I feel a birthday present project coming on for my nephew, though I'll need to make him some Indian food too! A few nans, some nice tandoori chicken, pakoras! LOL. Foodie kiddies!

You've given me the most fabulous idea for my friend's daughter! I'd make pierogi too; her Eastern-European family would find it too adorable for words.

Her Mother is from Japan, and she said "a friend", so I assume it was a "japanese friend" =)

That is very very cute!! The how small are those items and how big is the bento? Is it a regular sized bento or a mini bento?
24th-Oct-2008 04:34 pm (UTC)
It is pretty small, the strawberry is just bigger than a quarter maybe?
The box is under 5 inches wide I think.
