Workaday Lunch



Another lunch of leftovers at the office... Twice-baked potato, broccoli and tomatoes with ranch dressing under the cheese stars, squash, and citrus grilled chicken from my George Foreman grill. It really cuts the fat!

Back to School...Back to Bento

 I forgot to post my little man's bento from yesterday.  He made my day by telling me the other boys in the class really like his lunches and stand around to wait for him to open his box.  He gets a kick out of it and tells me the others complain about their lunchables and boring sandwiches.  I gave him an extra hug at dinner.

First bento in many years...

Hello! Today I got the inspiration to make a bento for my boyfriend. He has to work 8am to midnight today and only had an hour free to pop home. This doesn't happen often, but when it does, I like to make him a nice bento, just in case traffic makes it too hard to stay here long enough for him to eat it.
Anyway, here's what I came up with:



Inside the spinach wrap is ham, a scrambled egg, jasmine rice, and swiss cheese. Top right are halved apple crescents stuck in apple sauce, and under that are halved cucumber slices surrounding carrot bits on a bed of lettuce.

Hopefully, I'll be getting back into the habit of making bento. But preferably (for the sake of my boyfriend), under different circumstances ;)

Organic Blue Tortilla Corn Chips
Mandarin Oranges, Red Chili with Avocado, Greek Yogurt (instead of sour cream) and a Cilantro Sprig
Broccoli and Radishes
