Chicken, salad and couscous

Bento making continues but few photos have been taken. Sometimes they don't look all that inspiring (or inspired), or different from recent ones, or I just got plain lazy. In any case, here is one bento from last week and one for lunch today.

Roast chicken legs leftover from dinner. I deboned it before packing, for easier eating the next next. With cherry tomatoes, grilled asparagus and sundried tomato couscous.

Grilled courgettes (zucchini) - I love getting both the yellow and green ones for colour, cherry tomatoes, cherries and chicken vermicelli salad (more leftovers)

Purple Potato Salad, Konnyaku no Miso ni

For this bento I have a small totoro container filled with rice, konnyaku no miso ni, and purple potato salad. The pink onigiri shaped container is home to some grapes, vanilla almond granola cluster cereal, and pretzels. The potato salad is delightfully tasty and I rather enjoy it. I had some purple potatoes that I wanted to use up, so I just made a quick, improvised potato salad. I think this is a little more Japanese style than American.

This is boyfriend's bento tonight. Chicken katsu, onigiri with nori faces, tamagoyaki, cuke flowers with carrot shreds, tonkatsu in the bottle and balsamic vinaigrette in the piggy. I finally made tamagoyaki decent, in a round pan even. I'm pretty proud. <3
