567: salad nicoise

I have been craving salad Nicoise. The olives here are Calamata (couldn't find nicoise) and I'm probably missing something essential, but I have mixed green base, tiny potatoes, tuna, olives, egg and french green beans. Also a mustard vinaigrette. Can't wait for lunch!

I wiped these together for my husband and daughter when they asked for them at the last moment on Sunday. He and my daughter were off to a flea market for the day.

Bento in a hurry Bento in a hurry
The main dish contains left over cajan rice and beans with cheese cats on top. The mixed veggies include tomatoes, sugar snap peas, carrots and radish. The top held strawberries and to chocolate fish. This was my first time using my new car race box.
Cheese sandwiches deluxe Cheese sandwiches deluxe
It features a cheese sandwich cut into multiple shapes, mini bear paw cookies, cherry tomatoes and two strawberries.

Little Man's in Chococat, mine in boring clear plastic.  fake chicken nuggets, tortellini, roasted corn, melon and blueberries, swedish fish in LittleMan's.  He only ate half the tortellini, the nuggets and the fruit.

My first bento!

So I've been lurking this community for a while now and checking out all kinds of bento things online, and I thought it was finally time I made my own! I have an interview for a promotion tomorrow at work and I wanted to take a fun and enjoyable lunch with me to take my mind off before! I really enjoyed making it, in there there is:

In the pink box: cheese, cucumber and onion sandwich whirls (I don't really know if they have a proper name?), home grown peas, flapjack and brownie mini bites.

Above there's a box of home grown strawberries, a box of the leftover cucumber sticks I used in my sandwich whirls and a little box of sugar to dip the strawberries in (and yes, I do have a sweet tooth!)

Can't wait to eat this, it was all I could do not to eat the little sandwich things, they look so cute! ^_^
