Pheonix Wright

(no subject)

I've got some cubed leftover chicken breast with black sesame seeds on top inside a lettuce leaf. The orange divider has a mixture of soba noodles with baby spinach, mushrooms, sesame oil, extra virgin olive oil, and some soy sauce topped with toasted white sesame seeds. There's a kiwi flower and apple cubes in the blue divider. Then I have some skittles and milk duds in the pink divider. I also threw a little soy sauce in the blue condiment cup.

There are some more bento posts on my blog Bento Box Blueprints

1/28 Bento #52

I know, I'm totally jumping the gun here. I just couldn't help it.I found this heart shaped candy box in the Valentines isle and it looked like the perfect size for a bento. So here is my early-bird Valentines Bento.

Garlic sesame shrimp stir-fry (I used a large heart shaped cookie cutter as a divider, It worked great), pink heart onigiri (dyed with beet juice) strawberry jello hearts, deviled egg heart, strawberry and steamed beet hearts. The filler is the last of my beautiful purple kale :(

no rice!! :(

Snow peas with sesame seeds and seasoning, teriyaki chicken, almonds and coconut (as I am still in denial that it is winter), and some sauce from the teriyaki chicken.
This was really a use-it-up bento for me.

Top tier contains: happy whole wheat pita with tuna/wasabi filling, kissing apple bunnies, roasted red pepper hummus, carrots, turkey dog flowers, green grapes.

Bottom tier contains: Three cheese tortellini cooked in alfredo sauce, green and red bell peppers, tomatoes, and sausage. (all the faces are nori, in both tiers)

Lid contains: Dairy supplement pill, so I can eat the bottom tier. -_^

I almost want to enter this one into the Adventures in Bentomaking 200k contest, but it's really not good enough. Too many holes in the top, and it's too late to fix it now. Oh well, this is the most fun looking bento I've made anyway! Although, how does everyone else make faces on things? I had to cut mine by hand. Anyway, thanks for reading.

Typical bento for Rob...

Rob ended up having lunch w/ coworkers again, so once again, this bento will be for tomorrow instead - screwing up my plans for a football themed bento before Superbowl Sunday...

Top Tier: Macaroni salad w. nori face and black sesame seeds, pineapples and strawberries

Bottom Tier: Chef salad w/ ham, turkey & swiss pinwheels and a car shaped boiled egg

He also had light ranch and a snack bag of doritos to go with it

Ahmetia's Bento:

Top Tier: Cheese ravioli w/ meatballs, kiwi gummy

Bottom Tier: Heart shaped garlic bread, strawberries and carrot flowers

Just a reminder that Ahmetia and Kat each pack their own bentos - if that is a problem, or if you want them behind the cut, just let me know :)

Leftover Madness!

Today's bento has a veritable smorgasbord of this weeks leftovers. The shrimp was last night, the pasta was Tuesday night, and the fish cake and veggies was Sunday night! On the plus side this shows that I am cooking more dinners than I used to. I guess when those dinners factor into my bentos for the week, I'm more likely to cook instead of deciding I'm too tired in the evening. Otherwise I would have nothing for my bentos! Today's bento comes to 6.5 Weight Watchers points.

This bento contains:
1/2 serving of Penne w/ Olives (2.5 points)
1 small Fish Cake (1 point)
1/8 cup Edamame Hummus (1 point)
4 small sweet peppers (0 points)
1/2 serving of Spicy Shrimp (2 points)
1/2 cup veggies with ginger & sesame oil

Turkey Sandwich Bento

Another sandwich bento.

I'm digging this Sara Lee black pepper turkey deli meat.  It tastes like pastrami but this stuff is only 45 calories per serving.  Sign me up!

Bottom tier: Cut strawberries, blue berries, pumpkin seeds for snacking, and vitamin gummy bears in HK.

Bento # 486

More pasta, this time in the shape of ramen. Chili-ramen to be exact. They look nice (they're sorta like orangey-red) and taste a little of chili. Not enough to make them super hot, but there's a little zest to them.
